Discover Toronto’s Ultimate Basement Arcade: Antisocial Pinball Lounge

Looking for something fun, unique, and downright cool to do in Toronto? Let us introduce you to Antisocial Pinball LoungeCanada’s largest pinball arcade and one of the most exciting spots for anyone who loves gaming or just wants to experience something new and different. We caught up with owner Steve, the mastermind behind this unique venue, to get the inside scoop on his vision, his business model, and what makes Antisocial such a standout in Toronto’s entertainment scene.

Nestled in the basement at 570 Bloor Street West, Antisocial is more than your typical arcade. Steve envisioned a space that feels like a lounge—inviting, social, and designed for people to hang out, play, and have a great time.

A Unique Arcade Experience

One of the standout features of Antisocial Pinball Lounge is its flat $20 admission fee for unlimited free play. Steve explained that this pricing model stems from his understanding of just how challenging pinball can be for beginners and casual players. By removing the pressure of paying per game, guests are free to learn the skills, experiment with the machines, and simply have fun.

“It’s about making pinball accessible. We want people to enjoy the games, connect with others, and not feel discouraged by how hard pinball can be.”

Antisocial also recently added another layer of fun by securing a liquor license, which gives guests the option to enjoy their favorite drinks while they play. To round out the experience, they’ve partnered with a local pizza place, ensuring visitors have fantastic food options during their visit.

Modern Machines and the Ultimate Gaming Experience

Antisocial Pinball Lounge has solidified its place as Canada’s largest pinball arcade, with an impressive 71 pinball machines (5 more on order!) and 20+ arcade games already in action. Steve’s collection focuses primarily on modern pinball machines, which feature intricate designs, enhanced gameplay, and immersive experiences that elevate the fun to the next level.

While the lounge does include one restored classic (Space Shuttle), the spotlight remains firmly on modern machines, which are at the heart of today’s pinball resurgence. As part of his commitment to offering guests the best gaming experience, Steve worked with Player One Amusement Group (P1AG) to secure some of the incredible pinball machines featured at Antisocial—such as the eagerly awaited Dungeons & Dragons Limited Edition (LE). Once it’s delivered, this highly anticipated machine will provide guests with an unforgettable adventure.

P1AG: Supporting Antisocial with Amazing Games

Steve expressed his appreciation for P1AG as a trusted resource for sourcing top-notch games:

"Player One has been a great resource—their team helped us secure some awesome games, such as the Dungeons & Dragons Limited Edition, that our guests are going to love."

By collaborating with P1AG, Antisocial continues to provide its guests with a premier pinball experience and access to some of the most exciting and in-demand machines in the industry.

A Pinball Dream Come to Life

Antisocial Pinball Lounge officially opened in early November 2024 and is now fully operational, with a grand opening celebration planned for February 2025. The collection is entirely Steve’s, a passion project he started less than four years ago when he purchased his first pinball machine.

The lounge’s opening coincided with Toronto’s recent arcade law changes, which, now, allow venues to expand their mechanical game collections. Steve explained that this change is a positive step for the industry, which had once been unfairly stigmatized in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Through Antisocial, Steve aims to present pinnball the way it's meant to be experienced and introduce pinball to the next generation of players.

“This is about showing people what pinball is and how it’s supposed to be played.”
